Bioinformatics Data Scientist

What's the role and how do you fit in?

BenevolentAI harnesses artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific discovery by making sense of highly fragmented information to develop new medicines for hard to treat diseases, using AI as a force for good. Valued at $2bn in 2018, we are the largest independent AI company in the world.

We are looking for Bioinformatic Data Scientists to join the London team, who have a passion for developing biomedical data processing and analytics workflows, which will support BenevolentAI drug discovery activities. The role will enable individuals to work as part of high-performing cross functional teams where they will be expected to deliver data-driven solutions, as well offering them the opportunity to develop new skills in the field of machine learning.

What will you be accountable for?

  • Analysing and deriving novel insights from broad range of biomedical datasets, including ‘Omics (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics and proteomics), pharmacology and clinical resources

  • Delving into the details of the datasets, understanding how they are modelled and what their opportunities and limitations they present

  • As a member of the Biomedical Informatics department you will be responsible for defining research objectives and disseminating the latest Bioinformatics and Computational Biology research trends and developments throughout the company.
